American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation - was established to receive and administer funds for research and education in all aspects of integrative medicine, especially as it pertains to that part which is called variously, holistic, alternative, or complementary veterinary medicine, or CAVM. The Foundation concentrates on 3 aspects: scholarships for veterinary students who are interested in this branch of veterinary medicine, research in this aspect of veterinary medicine, and support for the use of and education in this branch in veterinary schools. www.ahvmf.org

The Rabies Challenge Fund - The only reason why the rabies vaccine is only good for 3 years, is that is only how long the study was funded. Dr. Jean Dodds DVM started the rabies challenge fund to raise money for a 5-7 year study on the efficacy of the rabies vaccine. As soon as the study is finished and submitted, the rabies vaccine will then be changed to 5 or 7 years depending on how much money is raised and how long the study can continue.
