Medical & Wellness

American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association - explores and supports alternative and complementary approaches to veterinary healthcare, and is dedicated to integrating all aspects of animal wellness in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.

Integrative Vet Care Journal - bridges the gap between the worlds of allopathic and holistic veterinary care.

Dogs Naturally - is like no other publication. We’re not only the most complete source of natural health care for dogs, but a large community of caring vets, breeders, trainers and dog owners who want to bring out the best in our dogs.

Mercola Healthy Pets - Dr. Mercola's mission is to educate and provide simple inexpensive tools to help limit or avoid expensive and potentially dangerous drugs and surgery.

Hemopet - is a full-service facility consisting of an animal blood bank, greyhound rescue and adoption, and specialty veterinary diagnostic laboratory.

The Pet Whisperer - Looking for information for alternative therapies and connections visit Dr. Blake’s site for animal wellness.

NutriScan - Available starting June 1st 2014, in Sussex County exclusively at Amy’s Animals, Dr. Dodds  Food Sensitivity & Intolerance Saliva allergy test kit. Visit the site or contact Amy at Amy’s Animals for more information.

American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation - was established to receive and administer funds for research and education in all aspects of integrative medicine, especially as it pertains to that part which is called variously, holistic, alternative, or complementary veterinary medicine, or CAVM. The Foundation concentrates on 3 aspects: scholarships for veterinary students who are interested in this branch of veterinary medicine, research in this aspect of veterinary medicine, and support for the use of and education in this branch in veterinary schools.

The Rabies Challenge Fund - The only reason why the rabies vaccine is only good for 3 years, is that is only how long the study was funded. Dr. Jean Dodds DVM started the rabies challenge fund to raise money for a 5-7 year study on the efficacy of the rabies vaccine. As soon as the study is finished and submitted, the rabies vaccine will then be changed to 5 or 7 years depending on how much money is raised and how long the study can continue. Any funds raised go directly to the study. Please donate whatever you can to support this great project.

Dr. Domore - The video included on this site explains why many conventional vets became holistic vets. It also has a lot of good information about integrative veterinary medicine.

Although I am not a veterinarian, I have had the opportunity to gather the knowledge of literally thousand of dog's and cat's medical conditions and treatments over the last 20 years.
The information I share and the recommendations I make are not intended to be a replacement for good veterinary care, but a compliment to good veterinary care.
